How many guests can the Avelon Ballroom hold?
We have 50 padded white resin chairs and 10 sixty inch round tables and six rectangular folding tables. You can use a rental company if you would like additional seating for up to 100 guests seated. We can host up to 220 if standing room only. 

What is your payment and cancellation policy?
We require a deposit to reserve your date. The remainder is due one month before your event date. Cancellations forfeit your deposit-unless you would like to change your event to another available day within the same year.

What services does the wedding rental fee include?
Our base wedding rental fee includes the ballroom, the bridal dressing suites and the catering prep area for 4 hours. The use of tables and chairs for 50 guests is also included. Additional hours are available for an additional fee. 

Do you offer a discount for weekdays?
Yes, please complete and submit the form on our contact page for rate and rental information.

Are there any additional costs, cleaning fees or liability insurance required?
We do require you to get day-of liability insurance for your event and a banquet permit if food or drinks are being served.
All events do have a $200 cleaning fee.

Are other events scheduled that day?
Weekend weddings will be the only event that day. Weekday events could potentially have other events depending on time, day and length of event. During business hours the parking lot is used by clients of the other tenants of the building and you will not have sole access to the parking lot.

What time does the event need to end?
The event needs to end up 10 pm. The ballroom needs to be clean and empty by 11pm. 

Do you host rehearsals?
Yes. We are happy to host rehearsal dinners, rehearsals or any other event. An hourly charge applies.

Where can I find nearby overnight accommodations for my guests?                            
Tacoma has some great hotels in the surrounding areas. Our favorites include Hotel Murano, Courtyard Marriott and Silver Cloud Inn. 

What is your alcohol policy?
Alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender and must have a banquet permit allowing alcohol.
At this time we can not do a cash bar and can only do hosted bars. 

What is your smoking policy?
Smoking is allowed in the parking lot as long as you are 20 feet from a door.

Can we choose our own caterer or must we pick from a select list?
You do have the freedom and flexibility to use any caterer or self-cater. 

Is there Parking Available?
Sixth Avenue has tons of street parking. Our parking lot has space for 25 which is available after business hours. 

Any decoration limits? 
Yes. We cannot have any candles or open flames. Please, no glitter & nothing can be nailed into the walls, otherwise please decorate to your hearts desire! We do require all decorations to be removed from premise after the event as well.
